Dr. Bruce J. Fried, Ph.D., is an associate professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Department of Health Policy and Management. Human resource management, quality improvement, the healthcare workforce, international and comparative health systems, and globalization and health are all areas in which he conducts research and teaches.

Human Resources in Healthcare, Fundamentals of Human Resources in Healthcare, and World Health Systems: Challenges and Perspectives are three of Dr. Fried’s best-selling ebooks. He was a member of the University of Toronto’s medical faculty before coming to UNC.

Dr. Fried holds a master’s degree in health administration from the University of Chicago and a doctorate in health administration from UNC-Chapel Hill.
