Dr. Jackie Butler’s professional background includes work at the University of Texas Health Science Center conducting research concerning the genetics of bilateral retinoblastoma. Jackie later worked at Houston’s M. D. Anderson Hospital investigating remission in leukemia patients. A well-liked educator for more than thirty years at Grayson College, she has taught microbiology and human anatomy and physiology for health science majors. Dr. Butler’s experience and work with college students of various academic backgrounds have contributed significantly to another revision of Hole’s Essentials of Human Anatomy and Physiology and Hole’s Human Anatomy and Physiology. Jackie Butler acquired her M.S. and B.S. degrees from Texas A&M University, specializing in microbiology, including courses in epidemiology and immunology.
