Dr. John L. Solow graduated from Yale University with a B.A. and went on to Stanford University for his M.A. and Ph.D. He is an economics professor at the University of Iowa.
Dr. Solow’s research interests include competition law and economics, sports economics, and public policy. He has written papers in the fields of industrial organisation, sports economics, and energy economics.
Dr. Solow has worked for the US Department of Energy and the Electric Power Research Institute. He has also worked as a consultant for the US Departments of Energy and Justice, as well as Mid-American Energy, Qwest Telecommunications, and a number of law firms. Dr. Solow has also attended Stanford University, the University of Auckland in New Zealand, and Monash University in Australia as a visiting scholar.
