Dr. Lee J. Krajewski is the Professor Emeritus at The Ohio State University and Professor Emeritus at The University of Notre Dame. He was awarded the University Alumni Distinguished Teaching Award, and the College of Business Outstanding Faculty Research Award. He was the founder of the Center for Excellence in Manufacturing Management and was its director for four consecutive years. He was the William and Cassie Daley Chair for Management at the University of Notre Dame. He was also awarded the National President’s Award and National Award of Merit by the American Production and Inventory Control Society. He was president of Decision Sciences Institute and was made a Fellow in 1988.
Krajewski earned his Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses on topics like operations strategy, introductions to operations management, project management, manufacturing planning, and control, as well as other topics over the years.
Krajewski was editor of Decision Sciences and the Journal of Operations Management’s founding editor. Krajewski is widely published and has contributed articles to many journals, including Decision Sciences, Journal of Operations Management, and Management Science. He also served as the founding editor of the Journal of Operations Management. Dr. Krajewski is a specialist in operations strategy, manufacturing planning, control systems, supply chain management, and master production scheduling.
