Dr. Robert S. Weinberg, Ph.D., is a professor at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, in the department of physical education, health, and sports studies. He has more than 40 years of experience in athletic psychology, both scholarly and applied. He’s published over 150 peer-reviewed publications in scholarly journals, as well as ebooks, book chapters, and applied pieces for coaches, athletes, and exercisers.
Weinberg was named one of North America’s top ten sports psychologists by his peers. He is a past president of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology and the North American Society for the Psychology of Sport and Physical Activity (NASPSPA) (AASP). Rob is also an AASP-certified consultant who works with athletes of all ages and sports.
In 2005, Weinberg was honoured as a Distinguished Scholar at Miami University.
He was also the editor of the Journal of Applied Sport Psychology, and in 1998, he was named Outstanding Faculty Member at Miami University’s School of Education and Allied Professions.
