Dr. Allan Victor Hoffbrand, MA, DM, FRCP, FRCPath, DSc, FMed Sci, is Emeritus Professor of Haematology at the University College, London (UCL), UK. He is distinguished for his research and as an author of internationally read textbooks of haematology (American spelling: hematology). He was born in Bradford, Yorkshire in 1935.
