Dr. David King has taught courses in personality, health psychology, and the psychology of death and dying at University of British Columbia’s (UBC) Department of Psychology in Canada

His current study focuses on how stress manifests itself in social contexts of various sizes and complexity, ranging from dyads and families to larger social and cultural contexts (e.g., disease outbreaks, collective traumas). Socioeconomic aspects in health, the influence of stigma and prejudice on well-being, and the function of meaning in trauma are among her other academic interests. He is also the co-author of two undergraduate textbooks, in addition to numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals.

David is dedicated to advancing critical thought and dialogue on the intricacies of human nature, whether through teaching, writing, or research.
