Dr. Joseph Martocchio got his Bachelor of Science in Organizational Behavior from Babson College in 1984, Master of Labor and Industrial Relations frpm Michigan State University in 1986 and PhD in Human Resource Management from the Michigan State University in 1989.

Dr. Martocchio has served as interim Dean and a Provost Fellow in the Illinois Executive Leadership Program where he was undertaking projects on strategic human resource issues for the campus. He has also served as associate dean for Academic Affairs and director of Degree Programs in the School of Labor and Employment Relations. Joseph’s research interests focus on various HR issues, including training, compensation, absenteeism and generational dynamics in the workplace. He received the Ernest J. McCormick Award for Distinguished Early Career Contributions from the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. He also is a Fellow of the Society as well as of the American Psychological Association. Professor Joseph is also the author of numerous scholarly articles, and many textbooks.
