Dr. Raymond M. Brooks is an Emeritus Professor of Finance at Oregon State University. He taught a variety of finance courses, including investments, an introduction to financial management, financial institutions, financial planning, advanced corporate finance, and risk management. Previously, Professor Brooks taught at the University of Southern Illinois, Washington University in St. Louis; and the University of Missouri, Columbia. He authored a variety of articles on topics from dividends to when-issued trading. He has won best paper awards at financial conferences twice.

Dr. Brooks’ research is in the area of investments with particular interests in the institutional procedures of trading and market microstructure that includes the processing and timing of information and its impact on security/stock prices.
