Dr. Thomas D. Fahey (late) was a Professor of Kinesiology at California State University, where he taught Principles of Strength and Conditioning, and Exercise Physiology. He had an Ed.D. from the University of California, Berkeley. In addition to writing trade books and college textbooks on wellness, exercise physiology, and athletic training, Dr. Fahey has written hundreds of articles for popular magazines and scholarly journals and was a contributing editor for several fitness magazines. A volunteer assistant coach with the track and field team at Chico, Tom was a world-class master’s discus thrower. He was also a competitor in highland games, alpine skiing, powerlifting, and tennis.
